Four physicians join the Iowa Medical Society Foundation Board of Directors

DES MOINES, IA – Four physicians from around the state have joined the Iowa Medical Society Foundation (IMSF) Board of Directors. They are:

  • Mikayla Brockmeyer, DO – UnityPoint Health Resident, Des Moines
  • Kim Kenne, MD – University of Iowa Health Care, Iowa City
  • Alexander Kurjatko, MD – University of Iowa Health Care, Iowa City
  • Rebecca Lundquist, MD – Broadlawns, Des Moines

“We are thrilled to welcome these four physicians with their background and experience to the IMS Foundation Board,” said Christi Taylor, MD, IMSF President. “Each of them brings unique insights that will strengthen the Foundation’s work and help us continue to be good stewards of the financial gifts for which we are responsible.”

The IMSF Board of Directors is a dedicated group of physicians who guide the Foundation’s strategic direction, fundraising, and allocation of donations. Some examples of the gifts made by IMSF include global health scholarships for medical students traveling to various parts of the world, white coats worn by medical students presented at the prestigious white coat ceremony, and support of students attending AMA meetings.
