Physician Advocates of the Week

This week’s Physician Advocates of the Week included several past and current physician leaders from the Iowa Clinic, the McFarland Clinic, the Polk County Medical Society, and IMS. Nine physicians traveled to the capitol throughout the week to meet one-on-one with targeted House members and to testify at the House subcommittee hearing on HSB 596. These discussions helped build the case for a hard cap on noneconomic damages and further illustrated the value of the real-world experiences that physicians bring to this conversation. If you want to join us as a Physician Advocate of the Week, please contact Deborah Thompson, IMS Grassroots Coordinator, to learn more.
