2017 IMS Election Results

IMS member physicians elected five new individuals to serve on the IMS Board of Directors during the statewide online elections that took place April 6-26. Three at-large directors were elected to serve a three-year term, and a resident director and medical student were elected to serve one year terms respectively. Candidates American Medical Association (AMA) delegate and alternate delegate were elected to represent Iowa physicians in the AMA’s House of Delegates. In addition, the Board of Directors formally elected Mike Romano, MD, Family Medicine, Council Bluffs, as President-elect, and Brian Privett, MD, Ophthalmology, Cedar Rapids, as Secretary/Treasurer.
