Faculty Bios
Tom Evans, MD, is the president/CEO of the Iowa Healthcare Collaborative (IHC). He practiced family medicine for 13 years and serves as a member of the House of Delegates for the American Medical Association. Dr. Evans also serves on the board of governance for the National Patient Safety Foundation and as a faculty member with the Institute for Healthcare Improvement. Dr. Evans is an adjunct faulty member for Des Moines University and the University of Iowa College of Public Health.
Tim Gutshall, MD, is the clinical coordinator for the Iowa Foundation for Medical Care (IFMC) in West Des Moines. He provides clinical leadership and strategic planning support for IFMC's Medicare quality improvement projects. Dr. Gutshall has 10 years of experience as a staff physician with the Iowa Health System Emergency Physicians and additional experience as a family practice physician.
