IMS seeks outstanding Iowa physicians for our 2013 Physician Community Service Award!
October 01, 2012
The Iowa Medical Society (IMS) is asking Iowans to nominate physicians for the IMS Physician Community Service Award, which recognizes outstanding service by Iowa physicians in their communities. Doctors who win this award spend significant time giving back to their communities by serving on boards and committees or by assisting with projects that make a difference in people's lives. All eligible physicians (MDs and DOs) must reside in Iowa and be a member of the Iowa Medical Society. To nominate a physician, just write to the Iowa Medical Society and provide:
- The physician's name
- The physician's home or office address
- Your name, address and phone number (in case we have questions)
- Why do you think this physician deserves the Community Service Award? What has this physician done for your community? Has he/she served on any community boards, task forces or committees? Does the physician donate time to assist with community or school projects? Has he/she held any leadership positions?
