IMS Resident Connect service now available

IMS has developed a database of U.S. physicians (with some connection to Iowa) who are currently in their residency program. All of these doctors have some connection to Iowa-they were either born here, attended medical school in Iowa or are completing a residency in the state. It stands to reason that a physician who has some connection to Iowa is a better prospect for recruitment to your practice.

For a small fee, IMS will send you a list of residents (for up to 5 specialties that you designate) and their mailing address to help you with recruiting efforts!

Or, for a slightly higher fee, you can order the entire database.

Since this is a member benefit, the cost of obtaining the data is based upon the percent of physicians in your practice who are IMS members. The following fee schedule details the cost:

Here is how it works. Send an e-mail or fax to Ed Whitver requesting the resident database with an official listing of the physicians in your group. You will be sent a letter of agreement, a listing of the specialty codes, and the amount you will be charged. If you accept the price and terms, simply sign the agreement, check off specialties (in groups of 5), and return the agreement to IMS along with your check. Reports should be provided within 2 business days of payment.

What will be provided? You will receive the resident names, the name and mailing address of the residency programs, the individual’s specialty and his or her expected residency completion date. As part of the agreement, you are requested to send only mail to the resident and not attempt to contact them by e-mail, phone, text message or by any other means.
