Hospitals are implementing Codes of Conduct to limit their liability and meet Joint Commission accreditation standards regarding disruptive physicians. These Codes can also restrict physicians’ business choices and punish doctors for advocating for their patients. Medical staffs should adopt their own Codes of Conduct. This hour-long webinar will give your organization the information necessary to deal with disruptive physicians and protect those that are not.
At the completion of this webinar, attendee will be able to:
- Discuss the Joint Commission standards regarding disruptive behavior.
- Explain inappropriate Codes of Conduct provisions.
- Give examples of language to include in Medical Staff Codes of Conduct/Bylaws.
