IMS launches new NPI database for member physicians!

IMS is pleased to announce that the Iowa Physician NPI Directory is now available.

The Iowa Medical Society (IMS) is pleased to announce that the Iowa Physician NPI Directory is now available for your use. This service is being provided as a member benefit in response to many requests from IMS members.

It is our intent to include all Iowa physicians in the Iowa Physician NPI Directory who authorize IMS to publish their NPI number in the directory.

When you need to find the NPI number of another physician, simply log on to www.imsnpi.org (a password protected Web site). Your username and your password to access the directory have been mailed to you by IMS.

To ensure the security of NPI numbers and avoid access by unauthorized individuals, please keep your password in a safe place and only share with staff that need access to the directory (such as billing personnel).

If you have not yet provided your NPI number for the Iowa Physician NPI Directory and would like for it to be included, simply complete our NPI Permission Form and fax it to the IMS at 515-223-0590.
