IMS House of Delegates

HOD Resolutions for the 2010 IMS Annual Meeting (PDF 105KB)

The House of Delegates has authority to set policy, establish dues, adopt bylaws and elect officers. Representation in the House of Delegates will be through the local choice model. This allows physicians to organize any way they choose on the local level for purposes of representation in the IMS House. Physicians can organize around their counties, hospitals, health systems or specialties. All IMS members make an annual election as to how they want to be represented. Any group with 15 members is awarded a delegate to the IMS House. Each group is required to have a mailing address, a list of members and a form of governance structure. The group is also required to espouse the core mission and values of IMS. Local groups are tied to IMS for purposes of representation but not for paying dues.
