IMS JOB BANK IMS Education Fund (IMSEF)
The IMS Education Fund (IMSEF) is a tax exempt nonprofit educational and scientific organization. IMSEF is supported primarily by Iowa physicians who want to give back to their profession by ensuring the future of medical education and public health in Iowa. Within IMSEF, there are four funds:
- The Henry Albert Benevolence and Public Health Fund provides financial support for numerous programs and activities which enhance the image of physicians and promote the public health of Iowans.
- The Scholarship Fund provides scholarships to Iowans attending medical school at the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine and Des Moines University College of Osteopathic Medicine.
- The George H. Scanlon Medical Student Loan Fund which provides low interest loans to Iowa medical students. The loan program closed in 2001.
- The fourth is a non-designated fund used for administrative expenses and supplemental financial support for the Henry Albert and Scholarship Funds.
